Shopping malls gradually resuming operations in Moka

Bagatelle Mall, Les Allées and Kendra Shopping Centre will soon be fully operational again for all your shopping needs. Here’s all you need to know about the #SafeShopping concept introduced by Ascencia and the gradual reopening of retail businesses since Friday 15 May 2020.

All information about the #SafeShopping protocol

Ascencia has deployed the #SafeShopping initiative in its various shopping malls to ensure everyone’s safety. This extensive and stringent cleaning programme covers the surfaces of each mall while ensuring visitor health screening.

In order to reassure and guide Mauritians who wish to do their shopping, floor markers will be placed in the shopping malls’ public washroom facilities to allow people to maintain the required social distancing. Hand sanitisers will be placed in various places of each Mall; face masks and temperature checks on entry will also be mandatory (this measure applies as well to employees and suppliers going onto the premises).

Disinfection of the premises includes sanitising the malls and their shops every morning before opening, in addition to regular fumigation of interior areas. All delivery vehicles will be disinfected, as well as clothing items before and after trying them on in shops. All operators must comply with a strict health protocol according to their business activity, with a series of measures such as product cleaning, the recall of preventive measures and necessary health precautions.

“We are making every effort to give our customers the confidence to shop safely and securely, while maintaining the best possible service,” says Kendra’s representative. The Ascencia Group has been impacted by the coronavirus and has designed the #SafeShopping initiative to promote a quick return to normal activities.
