Giving blood can save lives! The Moka’mwad collective is holding a blood drive from 12-15 May 2020 in the Moka region.
In response to the health emergency caused by COVID-19, solidarity among neighbours has become essential to ensure everyone’s well-being, including vulnerable groups. That is why the citizen collective , Moka’mwad is running a fundraising campaign called “Ansam anou ed nou bann vwazin” on the Small Step Matters crowdfunding platform in conjunction with ENL Foundation.
The Moka’mwad citizen collective has been organising complimentary Zumba classes since November 2019. And to say the least, it has proved a hit with the residents of Moka Smart City!
The Moka’mwad collective, whose objective is to improve the living standards in Moka, has recently brightened the lives of hundreds of citizens. Neighbours’ Days were held on 13 and 14 December in various parts of the region. We take a look back at this enjoyable initiative that promotes sharing and community life.
The Moka’mwad collective is putting some good vibes and spirits into Moka Smart City. People in the region will soon be invited to take part in complimentary outdoor Zumba classes. That’s good news for all those who are looking for an activity infused with energy and fun at no cost!
Last weekend, the District Council of Moka organised a clean-up campaign, in which the citizen collective, Moka’mwad, was highly engaged.
Moka’mwad teamed up with ENL Foundation and ESP Landscapers to pay tribute to World Environment Day, celebrated on the 5th June. They joined forces with the students of Mahatma Gandhi Secondary School (MGSS) in Moka to spruce up the front entrance to the school. The result: 959 plants were put in the ground.
Moka’mwad Collective teamed up with Les Ateliers de K to launch “An All-Natural and Organic Cosmetics Workshop in Moka.”
The Moka’mwad collective’s “Ecology and Environment” Cell, whose mission is to raise environmental awareness among people in the region, gathered more than 350 participants for its very first activity, a Clean-Up and Awareness Day on Sunday 28 October 2018.
The Moka Smart City has recently officially launched the Moka’mwad Collective, with the support of the ENL Group. The initiative is in keeping with the vision of an integrated, planned and profoundly human city. Here’s a brief overview.
