    You can go to the Moka District Court to pay your traffic fines or swear an affidavit. Bring your ticket with you as well as the amount of cash required for payment. No appointment is required.

  • Moka District Headquarters

    You can renew your Mauritian passport at the Moka District Headquarters. You must first collect and fill out the Application for Renewal of Mauritius Passport Form (P.F. 136A). Provide the following documents when submitting your application (no appointment is required): 2 recent, identical and compliant passport photos, your previous passport and your national identity number. You must present the originals and provide a copy of the documents. Always check on the form whether additional documents are required.

  • Saint Pierre Civil Status Office

    • Birth certificates: The birth must be declared within 45 days of the date of birth. If
      the parents are civilly married to each other, only one parent may appear before the Civil
      Status Officer, otherwise both parents must be present. Documents to be provided include
      the birth certificates of both parents, their marriage certificate (if applicable), the proof
      of birth issued by the clinic or hospital and the parents’ ID cards.
    • Marriage certificates: The proposed civil marriage should be filed and published 10
      days prior to the date of marriage. Two witnesses are required for the wedding ceremony.
      Documents to be provided include birth certificates less than three months old, previous
      marriage certificate(s) if there has been a divorce and the bride’s and groom’s ID cards.
      You will have to inform the Civil Status Officer of your chosen matrimonial regime.
    • Certificate of death in Mauritius: Only one declarant is required. After the
      declaration, a permit is issued to authorise burial or cremation. Documents to be provided
      include a medical certificate of cause of death, the birth and marriage certificates and
      national ID card of the deceased.
