A new shop bringing together various brands with a strong environmental and social ethos was opened on Monday 3 October 2022 right next to the Vivéa Business Park entrance. The Good Shop, Baz’Art Kreasion and a Moka Corner have come together under the Le ReStore banner, which focuses on the circular economy.

“We want to encourage new consumption patterns, and thus reduce waste, reuse second-hand goods, repair objects and recycle end-of-life products,” says Anielle Carver, Moka Smart City’s Sustainability Coordinator at ENL Property.

Bringing objects back to life, putting talent back on the map and recycling – all in one place!

The coming together of these brands at Le ReStore is a milestone in the circular economy. The Good Shop, a local pioneer in second-hand goods, uses its many clothing and lifestyle items, as well as its “pre-loved” philosophy to prevent overconsumption and give a second life to these everyday items.

Baz’Art Kreasion is an ENL Foundation initiative supporting entrepreneurship and local craft, with accessories and jewellery of all kinds that embody the know-how and talent of women from Moka and its surroundings. This place is full of gift ideas to help sustain the local economy – while reducing travel time for the people of Moka!

What about Moka Corner?

What can you find there?

This innovative concept will allow you to dispose of your recyclables (after sorting), thus actively participating in reversing the alarming trend of filling up landfill sites. Used household oil, old magazines and electronic and electrical waste, among others, are welcome at Moka Corner.

You will also find the essentials for people who love Moka: compost from the city’s organic waste, reusable bags, water bottles and Helios sunglasses made from plastic collected in Molok smart recycling bins. The already extensive list of products will grow with new collaborations and projects over time with the watchword: nothing is lost, almost everything is transformed!

Through this first regional shop on the island, the products of a virtuous social economy will contribute to make Moka a place where recyclables are given a second life.

A place for everyone to visit often!

This new must-visit spot for the people of Moka also welcomes all Mauritians to share the values of the circular economy. “Our products will change over time, so we invite you to come and discover them time and again,” says the Sustainability Coordinator cheerfully.

If this concept appeals to you, stop by and visit the shop between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday.
