ENL is the neighbourhood’s main land owner and leading agent for economic growth. As such, the Group initiated the expansion of Moka about a decade ago. Its urban development initiatives span some 4 million square metres (1,600 acres) between Verdun and Bagatelle.

ENL Group was established in 1821. Its corporate culture is based on a profound commitment to human values, to ethics in business and to Mauritius. The Group’s 90 companies employ a total workforce of some 6,800 people in a dozen sectors.

The Group was one of the first companies to be listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and owns 23000 acres of strategically located land. ENL is currently the third largest company in Mauritius in terms of assets with a turnover of Rs 13 billion and total assets worth Rs 57 billion for the 2016 financial year.
