Bigger Picture: For the love of arts and culture

Dive in Moka, the island’s essential cultural destination through the Mokazine #4 . The appointment in November 2021 of a new Arts and Culture Manager, Mathieu Pigeot, has brought a new momentum and art has added a new aesthetic, expressive and emotional dimension to the city.

Discover the two major projects backed by Moka, City of Culture. Rezidan provides local and international artists with a platform for creation and discussion with the public, and Street Art allows artists in residence to create works that form part of the region’s landscape.

Throwback to Moka’s milestones

The magazine features a beautiful round-up of two major events that marked 2022: the 10th edition of the Moka Trail and the 30th anniversary of École du Centre.

Mokazinior: Tell me about the Internet of Things (IoT)

Children will learn about this technological solution that is becoming an essential tool in our modern world. They will also find various games and other fun activities to enjoy on their own or with friends.

Mokazine is delivered free of charge to some 12,0000 letter boxes, including those of all residents from Moka to Saint Pierre, La Laura-Malenga, L’Avenir and Verdun. It is also available in shops and businesses in Moka and surrounding areas.

Following in the steps of an integrated city that strives to achieve sustainability, the magazine is printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper. This label guarantees that the paper comes from sustainable forestry.
