Tender launched for the construction of the U.S. Embassy
The U.S. Ambassador, David Reimer signed in 2020 the deed of sale for a 12-acre site in Bagatelle.
In 2021, a tender was launched for the design and construction of a new embassy at an estimated cost of Rs 8 billion. This investment will certainly give a boost to the construction sector and the labour market
in Mauritius.
The chosen location will make access easier for the public during events held by the embassy and for those seeking information about study abroad opportunities in American institutions.
Ecology and sustainability will be key to this construction project, in line with the smart city’s vision.
Bagatelle Mall turns 10!
X It has been 10 years of great stories at Bagatelle Mall since the opening on 29 September 2011. To celebrate this anniversary, visitors were invited in September 2021 to share their best stories on the mall’s platforms. A month of festivities that included promotional activities, entertainment, a special decor and the release of the single Nou ale jointly by Jason Heerah, Anne Ga, Manu Desroches and Ribongia.
