What about Moka?
When we talk about smart cities, we inevitably talk about connected objects! For the well-being of residents and users, Moka uses technology to serve the environment with the installation of smart meters.
For example, there are smart meters in every home and office to allow everyone to monitor their water and electricity usage in real time – and enable them to reduce it for the well-being of our planet!
The Moloks are the city’s sorting bins and are equipped with such devices to monitor their filling rate in real time and ensure better service to every- one. As a result, the trucks only show up when the Moloks are full!
Environmental sensors placed throughout the city since 2020 provide us with very important infor- mation on moisture and carbon dioxide levels in the air, temperature and noise pollution levels, among others. The aim is to measure, raise awareness and make Moka an even more pleasant city for everyone!
These meters have also been fitted on the city’s public fountains to monitor water consumption – and therefore the number of plastic bottles saved.
Moka is also trying new pro- jects for the future, such as smart public lighting to better manage our electricity use and digital signage to iden- tify the city’s free parkings (slots) – great, isn't it?
That’s for sure: IoT is only starting to transform our lives in Moka!
