Behind every clean bench, well-lit street and secure corner in Moka lies a finely tuned organisation. Because a smart city doesn’t just rely on cutting-edge technologies. It’s built on rigorous daily management and a committed team.
In Moka, everything is designed to provide a pleasant and functional living environment: from the maintenance of shared spaces to security, parking, signage and well-integrated urban furniture. Here’s how the city works, every day, to turn its vision into a tangible reality.
1. Day-to-day maintenance: A dedicated team for a spotless environment
In Moka, quality of life begins with the daily management of urban space. Every day, 55 agents are mobilised to maintain roads, green spaces, pedestrian zones and urban furniture. Their work is coordinated by 3 supervisors and 1 regional manager, ensuring smooth and responsive operations on the ground.
The aim: to offer a clean, harmonious and pleasant environment for everyone, both residents and visitors. From waste collection to lawn mowing, watering and repairing urban equipment, every task matters. This attention to detail helps create a sense of wellbeing, safety and pride among residents.
2. Connected, proactive security
Security in Moka is more than just a presence, it’s smart and responsive. The system is built on an efficient network:
- Avacor agents on patrol
- Smart surveillance cameras (number plate recognition, night vision, motion and intrusion detection) installed in key areas
- A dedicated hotline for residents’ needs
The Moka Security Hub, located in the heart of Vivéa Business Park, centralises the footage captured by the camera network. All recordings are stored continuously for around 30 days on secure servers. In the event of an incident, recordings can be quickly reviewed. By relying on this tech infrastructure, Moka enhances prevention and helps deter risky or unlawful behaviour across the city.

3. Controlled mobility and organised parking
Parking in Moka is now easier. Thanks to Mokarpark, a flexible parking offer is available for both businesses and individuals. And for electric vehicle users, charging stations are also provided.
The city also actively tackles illegal parking, to ensure greater safety and smoother traffic flow, because few things are more frustrating than a badly parked car blocking the entire road!
4. Road signage: More than just signs
Navigating a well-designed city means being able to find your way easily and safely. To make this happen, Moka partnered with Groupe GDS, a leading signage company in France and its overseas territories.
The goal? To provide modern, intuitive signage adapted to all users – whether on foot, on a bike or behind the wheel. The signs installed so far improve city legibility while blending seamlessly into the urban environment.
5. Urban furniture: Comfort at every corner
Benches for a break, recycling bins to encourage good habits, lampposts for evening strolls, drinking fountains to cool off… in Moka, every piece of urban furniture is designed to improve daily life.
And this is just the beginning. Because a city is always evolving by listening to its people, and working each day to build a sustainable, human-centred place to live.
