Several volunteers join the Moka Trail every year and work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the event. They are really at the heart of it all on race day! Volunteers assist with various tasks, such as marking race numbers, managing feed stations, handing out medals and more.
As well as a first-hand experience of the Moka Trail, this major sporting event also gives volunteers the opportunity to socialise in a warm and friendly atmosphere. “It was a real challenge for me because I am not a very adventurous person. I simply can’t describe in words the feeling of providing participants with refreshments after they tackled the 287 steps at Malenga! We cheered on the runners of all ages and enjoyed the beauty of selfless human relationships. The Moka Trail ultimately turned out to be a great experience for me, and allowed me to make friends and enjoy the beautiful scenery,” says Nazira, a volunteer on the eighth edition last year.
