Thanks to Commute, the carpooling app launched on our island last year through a partnership between Moka Smart City and a Danish start- up, the national carbon footprint was reduced by 250kg of CO2 since December 2021!
Users of the app receive CO2
Coins according to the number of kilometres driven. They can be redeemed for vouchers, with the recent addition of six new partners: Rejuice By Foodwise, Decathlon, BEM Recycling, Caudan Arts Centre, Eureka and The Kreol Republic.

  Moka goes beyond borders
X The Smart City and ENL teams embarked on an international campaign to Dubai, Reunion Island, Madagascar and South Africa this year! The first stop was at the
Dubai World Expo, which took place from October 2021 to March 2022. The Smart City team attended the event alongside other property market players, to showcase Mauritius as an attractive destination for foreign investors. It was also an opportunity to boost the visibility of the smart city and assess its international market position. The bottom line is that, “Moka is on the right track! Our vision is in line with international expectations in terms of innovation, sustainable development, renewable energy and good governance,” says the General Manager of this urban development, Samuel de Gersigny. With these same goals in mind, ENL and Moka Smart City representatives travelled to South Africa and Madagascar in September 2022.
The teams also participated in the 33rd Salon de la Maison in Reunion Island in
April 2022. According to ENL Property's Senior Manager, Property Development,
Olivier Doger de Spéville, the aim was to reach this market and develop partnerships. P
