La Classique du Pouce

A round trip from the base to the top of Le Pouce along the most popular trail in the Moka mountain range.

Distance: 3.75km

Elevation gain: 324m

Le Dauguet

This out-and-back route starts in the foothills of Le Pouce and heads to the Dauguet area. The first portion of the trail is the same as La Classique du Pouce.

The course is ideal for those who don’t have time to take a complete tour of the mountain but still want to run more than 10km.

Distance: 12.51km

Elevation gain: 830m

Le Grand Pouce

The route begins with the climb of Le Pouce, followed by a technically challenging downhill section to the Dauguet parking area and a series of short climbs and drops in the heart of Vallée Pitot. You will continue over a pass at L’Antenne (between Le Pouce and Pieter Both) and head back to Le Pouce parking area.

Distance: 18km

Elevation gain: 1,064m

Moka Range Challenge

This is the longest and most technically challenging track in the Moka mountain range. The route puts runners’ endurance and motivation to the test, starting with the ascent of Le Pouce before engaging on a technical downhill section to the Dauguet parking area and tackling a series of short climbs and drops in the heart of Vallée Pitot. You will continue through enchanting nature, from the slopes of the mythical Pieter Both Mountain to the village of Crève Cœur. After making it up the winding stairs of Malenga, you will hike along the slopes of Deux Mamelles. Leaving the mountainous landscape behind you, it’s time to tackle the final stretch, crossing the sugarcane fields at Beau Bois, then La Laura-Malenga to finally arrive at Le Pouce parking area. Taking on this trail run is certainly no easy feat, but the scenery is worth every step.
