After being postponed a number of times, economic activity will soon resume in Mauritius. Oficea has established a well-defined protocol to prepare its tenants while minimising health risks, including the following key measures.
An easy and effective protocol
The protocol developed by the Oficea team is based on expert recommendations, such as World Health Organisation guidelines and information provided by the relevant authorities. No effort has been spared for an effective resumption of economic activity in compliance with health standards for offices and tenants.
Antibacterial soaps have been placed in bathrooms and hand sanitiser dispensers will be available in common areas, which will be cleaned and disinfected ahead of the official resumption date, and then daily using EN 14476 compliant products. The service provider and Oficea have established a strict health protocol to optimise cleaning and precautionary efforts.
With regard to building access, entrance doors will remain open throughout office hours and card access will be preferred over fingerprinting. It should also be noted that there will be floor markings in common areas to make social distancing easier. StepNpull devices will also allow people to open bathroom doors with their foot.
Finally, Oficea undertakes to increase the waste collection frequency and replace open bins with covered ones. Dedicated bins will also be available on site to ensure safe disposal of masks and gloves!
Oficea’s back-to-work pack
“We have assembled a list of trusted sanitary equipment suppliers to help our tenants prepare for lockdown lifting,” says Oficea’s Portfolio Operations Manager, Manjeet Ramsarah. Recommended items include masks, gloves, hands-free door openers, hand sanitisers, disinfecting wipes, infrared thermometers and EN 14476 compliant disinfectants.
In addition, Oficea’s tenants are provided with a back-to-work pack including two FFP2 European standard disposable facemasks and a 500ml hand sanitiser bottle for each of their employees.
