Great news to the delight of moviegoers! After a first successful edition in 2018, Moka Smart City is back this year with its Open Air Cinema.

This screening of short films and animated films begins on Monday, the 11th of March at the Telfair outdoor amphitheater from 7pm to 9pm. And it’s free! A total of ten short films will be screened. This year, foreign films have also been selected, including works from America, France, Russia and the Czech Republic.

Movies scheduled for this evening: The fox the bear and the mouse (Le renard l’ours et la souris); DVA Tramvaya (Russia); Shanti; Two Balloons (United States);  Le bon geste (The good Move); La grande histoire d’un petit trait (The great story of a small trait); (France); Baraz; Maly Cousteau (Petit Coustea – Czech Republic); Pran Nesans; Home, Away. If some will make you laugh, others will definitely indulge you by addressing societal topics. The aim of this initiative is to introduce cinematographic works to the general public, that are sometimes difficult to see and, at the same time, promote the work of actors and filmmakers.

For the first edition, some 500 movie lovers were gathered, most of them coming along with family members or friends. The objective of the Smart City of Moka is to liven up the town and diversify the leisure on offer, through events such as the Open Air Cinema. Just like in 2018, we can only hope that the public present leaves in a dreamy mood.
